Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Review: You want to Buy This?

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Reveiw - This smartphone is worth Rs 27,999. It was being hyped long before the launch. The tagline was the same, but is this phone really amazing?

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Review

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has recently launched Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro in the Indian market. This is the first flagship smartphone of Xiaomi's all-brand Redmi. There has been a lot of discussion about the price of Redmi K20 series in India. Some people said that the company has kept its price high. Some say that the company is not known for expensive smartphones. But first of all, let us know that in terms of specifications and features, we got the price of Redmi K20 Pro right.
After using the Redmi K20 Pro for some time, I also felt that this is a smartphone that can affect the sale of other Android flagships. However, it also has its own shortcomings about which you will understand yourself by reading this review.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Review Design and Build Quality

There is no problem in the build quality of the phone. Body glass has Gorilla Glass 5 also used on the rear panel. It is also called glass sandwich design. I have reviewed the Glacier Blue variant. The company has really worked on the design and it looks fantastic. The phone fits well in the hand and you will be able to use it with one hand. The rear panel is curved so it is easy to hold. The rear panel is a fingerprint magnet, but it is only for the center. There are blue colors on both sides, which does not affect many with fingerprints.
There is a camera lens at the top of the center on the rear panel, a module has two lenses at the bottom and dual LED flash light is given below it. The center bottom has the branding of Redmi.
There is a pop up selfie on the top and it glows. The headphone jack is also given above. On the right side is the red color home button and the volume rocker keys. The bottom has a speaker grill, a SIM tray with USB Type C is provided here.
Overall, the look and feel of the Redmi K20 Pro is quite good and looks like a completely premium smartphone.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Review

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro camera

There are three rear cameras in Redmi K20 Pro. One of them is 48 megapixels, the other is 8 megapixels, the third is 13 megapixels ultra wide lens. The company has given telephoto lens instead of depth sensing, which is a good thing. For selfie, it has a single mottled pop up camera which is 20 megapixels.
The camera is impressive. Photos are good clicks. Indoor photos, or photos in low light, are averaged. If the lighting is correct, the cameras of this phone show amazing and click such pictures which are sharp, full of details and solid. Portrait photos are also good and the camera separates objects well from background to camera. Close up shots are also amazing.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Performance

Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 has been given in Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro which is 7nm based. This smartphone has 8GB of RAM and here the company has used UFS 2.1 storage. Android Pie based MIUI 10 is available here in the software department. You can also use Poco Launcher in it.
This smartphone gives top notch performance. Be it gaming or multi-tasking, it does not disappoint you everywhere. The phone is fast, smooth and does not feel lag. However, during gaming and running many applications with it, there was a slight lag in the phone, which should not have happened.
Talking about multi tasking, Poco Launcher works well and switching from one ace to another app is quite easy. Open multiple apps at once and keep running in the background and do not take time to load.
There is no big reduction in overall performance and it is a very smart smartphone for mixed use.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro battery backup

A 4,000mAh battery has been given in Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro. In the box you get an 18W charger. Although this phone has been supported by Quick Charge 4+. But for this you have to buy charger from outside. Xiaomi has launched a 27W Sonic Charger priced at Rs 999.
Talking about backup, Despite having a 4,000mAh battery, you get decent battery life. In mixed use, full-day backup can be found comfortably. Even after listening to pubs, videos, active social media accounts and songs, you can remove backup from morning to night. If the phone is used less then this phone will give you a backup of 1.5 days.

Should you buy this smartphone?

Redmi K20 Pro is a very good smartphone in this segment. It is expressive in almost every department. There are more smartphones at this price. But the display of some smartphones is good, the performance is good, but the camera is not good. It makes up the shortcoming - Redmi K20 Pro.

Review on Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7

In terms of design, both phones look alike. Both phones have been introduced with Gradient finish. Xiaomi has brought it with Aura design. Drop Notch is given at the top of the screen. This gives users a good viewing angle of the full view display. Bezels around the screen are quite handy. 2.5D curved glass has been used with this. This makes the phone's edges look seamless. Both phones look good in terms of design.

Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro were less compared to their looks. This time the company has worked on the design. In India, Redmi Note 7 Pro will be available in Blue, Red and Black colors. At the same time, Redmi Note 7 will also be available in three colors Black, Red and Blue. Both Redmi phones have a 6.3-inch Full HD + display. The special thing in both phones is that their front and rear panels have been protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. With this, both the phones are splash proof.

People like the Redmi Note 7 Pro for its 48MP rear camera. The company showcased many of its samples at the event. Even the phone was compared to the iPhone XS Max and Oneplus 6T. However, when using the camera, it was not as appealing as it was shown. But still the phone's camera in this range will be able to easily beat the camera of mid-range smartphones.

It can be told in detail from the camera comparison itself. The company has used the Sony IMX586 sensor in it. With this, a 5MP secondary camera is also provided on the rear. In the camera area, there is a difference between Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7. The Note 7 has a 12MP camera. Both phones have a 13MP selfie camera.

The specialty of both these phones of Redmi is their price. Snapdragon 675 chipset has been given in Redmi Note 7 Pro. This processor has also been seen in Vivo V15 Pro. However, the price of this phone is Rs 28,990 in India. In terms of processor, Xiaomi has done a good job.

Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset has been given in Redmi Note 7. The phone has a powerful processor for Rs 10,000.If you can spend a little more money then Redmi Note 7 Pro is a very good option.
